November 16, 2001-- the day the world first saw Harry on the big screen! Warner Brothers release of the first of many Harry Potter movies, based on J.K.Rowling's book: Harry Potter and the Socerer's Stone, has been a tremendous box office smash, making 2001 the biggest year for Hollywood ever.

J. K. Rowling said of the three actors selected for the leading roles, "Having seen Dan Radcliffe screen test, I don't think Chris Columbus could have found a better Harry. I wish Dan, Emma and Rupert the very best of luck and hope that they have as much fun acting the first year at Hogwarts as I had writing it."

Movie #2: The Chamber of Secrets!

The second movie, "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets," is was released worldwide in November 2002. Meet the new Professor Dumbledore!

Kenneth Branagh stars in the role of Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor Gilderoy Lockhart.
Jason Isaacs plays Lucious Malfoy.
Miriam Margolyes plays Professor Sprout,.
Mark Williams stars as Mr Weasley.
Shirley Henderson is Moaning Myrtle.
Gemma Jones keeps the hospital wing in order as Madame Pomfrey.
Sally Mortemore tries (unsuccessfully) to keep Harry and company out of the restricted library section, as the librarian Madam Pince.
