AKS Minutes - September 5, 2006

Members in Attendance: Gary & Debbie Floyd Carl Holtman Bo & Jo Long Denise Conder Location: 6508 Garwood Meeting was called to order at 7:15 pm OLD BUSINESS: Minutes of the August 1, 2006 meeting were distributed, discussed and approved. Motion by Carl, second by Bo, motion carried. We discussed the draft prints of the BCS project. The pond will be located around 10th & VanBuren. TREASURER’S REPORT Carl handed out the report and went over the last months transactions. Our balance is $1,346.73 NEW BUSINESS We discussed purchasing some large show tanks (6 or 8 ft diameter) for the club. We decided to do some additional research and discuss this again at the next meeting. Carl stated that the he and the Conders were planning on ordering some of the small blue hard plastic show tanks and if anyone was interested, we could order them together and get a discount. Carl distributed a KHV article authored by Spike Cover, Director of the AKCA Project KHV. The article provides general information and updated research findings on the affects KHV has on Koi. Gary asked if anyone was interested in volunteering for the club’s scrapbook and/or newsletter committees. Due to the limited number of members attending, we decided to discuss this at a later date.
