AKS Minutes - May 8, 2007

Members in Attendance: Gary & Debbie Floyd Carl Holtman Bo & Jo Long Denise Conder Location: 3201 Century Meeting was called to order at 7:05 pm OLD BUSINESS: Minutes of the March 6, 2007 meeting were distributed, discussed and approved. Motion by Carl, second by Jo, motion carried Minutes of the March 22, 2007 special called meeting were distributed, discussed and approved. Motion by Debbie, second by Denise, motion carried. Gary reported that he had submitted 2 letters responding to IRS questions on the club’s 1023. TREASURER’S REPORT Carl presented copies of the treasurer’s report to everyone. Our balance is $1034.73. This includes the $150.00 refund check from the IRS. NEW BUSINESS Status of membership dues was discussed briefly. No dues are due at this time. Denise suggested that we change our club meeting days to Sunday. She said she knew someone that was interested in joining the club, but was not able to meet on Tuesdays. We discussed this and decided to try it through the summer. If it worked better for everyone, we would amend our bylaws and make it our standing meeting day. We will begin with the July meeting . It will be Sunday, July 1st, 2:00 at the Conders. We briefly discussed the scrapbook and reminded everyone to send Carolyn pictures. Denise said that she would begin doing a newsletter for the club on a quarterly basis. A begin date was not set and will be discussed at a future meeting. We discussed the club’s nomination for Koi Person of the Year. As previously documented in emails, our club voted to nominate Gary Floyd. Jo stated that she would follow-up and see if we could still submit a nomination after the deadline. CALL TO FLOOR: None NEXT MEETING: Bo & Jo's house on June 5th Meeting adjourned.
