AKS Minutes - May 2, 2006

Members in Attendance: Gary & Debbie Floyd Carl Holtman Bo & Jo Long Location: 2214 Manhattan Gary called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm. OLD BUSINESS: Minutes of the April 4,2006 meeting were distributed, discussed and approved. Motion by Carl, second by Bo, motion carried. AKCA’s KHA (Koi Health Advisor) Program was discussed. Carl decided not to complete the program at the present time. Applejack Ranch clean-up project originally scheduled for April 29th had been cancelled due to cold weather. After discussion, it was rescheduled for Saturday, May 20th at the same time. Gary reported he had received the club’s Federal ID #. (Permanent record of the number will be maintained by the President & Secretary) This number was needed to complete Form 1023 (Application for 501C3 Nonprofit Status). Gary asked for members input on how one question on the application should be answered. We discussed it and all agreed on how it should be answered. He also noted, a check for $150 must accompany the application. We all agreed to set-up a club checking account at CitiBank. Gary (President) & Carl (Treasurer) will be the signature authorities on the account. TREASURER’S REPORT Carl reported our account balance is $585.33, this is after the $150 check for our 501C3 Application. NEW BUSINESS None CALL TO FLOOR: None NEXT MEETING: At Gary & Debbie’s on June 6th. Meeting adjourned CLUB ACTIVITY: We watched a Koi Fixx DVD.
