This module covers theories (explanations) of aging, and also assessment of older adults. There is a fair amount of assessment information to digest, so try to plan to do a section and then put it down for a time to let it sink in. The material includes some that you may be quite familiar with from your undergraduate work; in this case, browsing the material will serve as a review. In other sections the material will be new and require some studying. In any case, the sections of the geriatric assessment are critical to attainment of objectives for the clinical portion of the course and are therefore, very important.
