  This semester's project lab assignment is to design, build and verify a sound intensity level meter.  The meter will have to output all applicable data (dose, current intensity, time weighted average, etc.).  It will also have to be battery operated and portable.  It must be able to connect to a computer to download data and perform diagnostics.  We are required to use the TI MSP430 family of microcontrollers in our implementation of this project.

 

Currently we are still in the design phase of the project.  Our next step will be to perform physical tests on microphones in order to determine amplification requirements.
